EARTHFALL: “Invasion” brings horde mode and more

The developer studio Holospark announces the next big update for its first person online co-op shooter Earthfall. The Invasion update will be available on October 30th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and via Steam.

The update offers fans a new hordes mode and a player progression system. In addition, there are new weapon sound effects produced by the renowned Hollywood sound studio Formosa Group. Formosa is well known for the sounds in Blade Runner 2049, Deadpool 2 and John Wick 3.

“We wanted to show our fans how seriously we take Earthfall’s future, so we’ve hired the best sound design team in the world to improve the weapons sounds,” comments Collin Moore, Senior Community Manager of Holospark, on the update.

The Update Invasion provides features that were in high demand by the community.

  • Hord mode includes four new maps that allow players to deal with countless waves of new alien enemies.
  • The progression system allows players to unlock 50 level player skills and cosmetic content.
  • The award-winning sound studio Formosa Group has taken care of the improved weapons sound in Earthfall: from the thundering shot of the Desert Eagle to the sharp click of the AK47 to the SciFi-inspired Valkyrie cannon that makes enemies go up in flames. The new weapon sounds make the hunt for the enemy aliens all the more a spectacle ready for the cinema.

The Invasion Update will be available for free download on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam platforms from 30 October. The blog article about the new weapon sounds can be found here. Further information on current and future updates can be found on Earthfall’s website.
