Epilogue: Bridge! 3 (Switch Version)

Human build has always been the bridges. In order to overcome obstacles, and sometimes probably also to indicate how superior the own architecture. Why you just with a Bridge! 3 bridges to build, I can post my Test unfortunately does not answer. The basics were not present enough for a really good game it’s easy.

The Gameplay consists of Level to jump to Level and build as quickly as possible bridges. At the end of each level you get a short Overview of how fast it was and how many Attempts were needed, until the bridge collapsed. Sounds great in theory, exciting, in practice it falls short, unfortunately, so much in the Gameplay, to climb up the Motivation to pay the new maximum is relatively manageable remains.

Every beginning is difficult

But as hard as it would have to be really. With a short Tutorial it would certainly explain the operation of the game. Instead, it is in the upper area of the screen a Button with a question mark on it. This is clicked you will receive at least information about the key fields on the Screen. What are the console-make buttons, however, you may bring, however, by a holographic experiment in experience. Thus, only the lowest hurdle of control is overcome. The real Problem is the fiddly operation with the Cursor is. The cursor speed is adjustable, but that only makes the matter better. This manifests itself at the latest when you tried components. The need to be with certain points of the bridge connected in order to function properly. Even with a greatly reduced cursor speed, it is hardly possible for such points to meet the target for sure. The only remedy in such a Situation, it is zooming in with the camera, wherein the controller is too bulky to really be practical. Alternatively, you can use the touch screen, but unfortunately, this variant offers itself to various pitfalls. For example, it happens too easily that you shoot when you move a component over the target and suddenly a pillar obliquely from the road surface.

Bridges consist of more than just Foundation

To mix the difficulties of the control of other shortcomings, unfortunately. The tone of the Bridge! 3 seems at first sight to be in the direction of realism to go. There is a wide variety of components are available, the appearance, at least for a layman like actual parts of the bridge, and the environments are kept in a reduced style that reminded me somewhat of The Sims 4. With elements such as speed controls, the game happened to be made seem to be a bit more interesting, what succeeds in the short term. So far so good, after the first few Level components such as a trampoline, with the vehicles through the air hurled it suddenly. It is, unfortunately, not to crazy Chaos, as one would expect, perhaps, but only to the confusing level design and the cars to bounce around a bit.

Particularly incomprehensible to the typos in almost every piece of Text are available, however. Not only on the German version but also in the English Version.

Let your creativity roam as a bridge-Builder-free-run

The description of the game in the Aerosoft starts own Shop. With the Level Editor that can also make almost – but only almost. The Editor offers three different environments, you can slightly adjust, wherein said two environments differ purely cosmetic. Admittedly, most of the bridges that connect point A with point B, but a little more ingenuity about the landscapes definitely wouldn’t have hurt.

Similar is the situation with the music in the Bridge! 3. Quite very well, are the three single Tracks, however, very quickly repetitive. In particular, since during a level always only a melody in a continuous loop and will not be repeated, unless you jump to the next. The existing music Overlay is in theory a nice idea in practice but often the control is in the way. Fortunately, the Overlay can be deactivated in the settings.

CONCLUSION

Bridge! 3 brings the foundations of a bridge building simulator with fumbles but, in my opinion, in the implementation in too many Places to still to be good. From the boring level design, repetitive music, and the erroneous texts, there is still a lot to complain about. What I like the most is prevented from more time with a Bridge! 3 to enjoy, is the fiddly control of the me after the shortest time of any of the fun spoiled has.

I would hope that the developers, at least some could be what he wants to achieve with this game. The mixture of realistic Simulation and absurd elements seemed to me very immature and fits in the presented Form is not very good.
