GODS Remastered announced
Developer Robot Riot UG announce the remake of the classic GODS for Xbox One and PC/Mac via Steam, the versions for PS4, Switch, iOS and Android will be released later.
The player takes control of a nameless warrior on his way to satisfy the gods after four guards have stolen their homes. When the hero fulfills his destiny and frees the sanctuaries, he has the opportunity to join the gods as an immortal.
GODS Remastered is the revised, officially authorized version of the classic home computer action platformer “Gods”. The title of the Bitmap Brothers appeared in 1991 for the Commodore Amiga, Atari ST, PC, SNES and the SEGA Megadrive. Even then Gods received top marks. So the Amiga Joker in the issue 05/1991 gave 88%, the ASM in the issue 07/1991 gave 10/12 and the Play Time in the issue 02/1993 90%.
The revised version not only shines in new splendour, it also has a new atmospheric game mode with 3D graphics, new light and shadow effects as well as new music and sound effects. Retro fans won’t be forgotten either: The original title was also added, based on the Amiga version. You can switch between the two modes at any time. The level design was retained because it was ahead of its time then and still works perfectly today.
