Windows patch Tuesday in January: Update fixes critical NSA-gap
For the first patch day in 2020, Microsoft 49 includes vulnerabilities in Windows. With the last of the Windows 7 Fixes, and one of the NSA uncovered a security gap.
The first Microsoft patch day in the year 2020, is immediately the last one for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008/R2. Here is the advanced Support delivery by Microsoft, as announced, to 14. January (More: Windows 7 end of Support – what you need to know). The current Patches are the latest security updates for the aged operating systems.
The majority of the 49 security updates in January, however, affects current versions of Windows, Internet Explorer, the .NET Framework and Microsoft Office. A full list of security updates, Microsoft delivers in its Release Notes, the January 2020 Security Updates.
