Unboxing: World of Warcraft’s 15th Anniversary Collectors Edition

Last week was the Waiting and Trembling at last to an end: the World of Warcraft – 15th Anniversary collector’s Edition , it had finally also to the small but fine Austria managed. Finally time to find out whether the months-long fear of the Edition has paid off – and the content of in Natura can convince!

As the World of Warcraft – 15th Anniversary Collectors Edition the middle of the year was announced, exploded the demand in the player base completely. The Edition was in just a few hours on the official Blizzard page completely sold out. Also retailers such as MediaMarkt or Saturn had to after a short time, completely beaten. With a little luck, I managed to order the same day one Edition on Amazon. But it was not done apparently: hundreds of forum posts on ploppten in the following weeks and months, Amazon would have canceled orders. Everyone Concerned felt the collector’s Edition cheated, and one even peeped almost every day with a queasy stomach feeling, whether it was himself, according to Amazon, still in dry towels. Now I finally had certainty, and my own, exclusive Ragnaros Statue in the hands! But back to the beginning – because the Edition provides far more.

The first impression of the collector’s Edition

The first impression of the collector’s Edition when you Open the package really was just: WOW. The Edition is quite large, and measures almost 40cm. At the same time, the content is very heavy and feels really high quality. The exterior Design is very well done – subtle but still exclusive. The Box is in dark grey tones, as well as lighter White and beige tones, and are suitable illustrations of the Warcraft universe, as well as the special World of Warcraft Logo, the 15-year anniversary, added.

The Mousepad, the Onyxia-Pin and graphics

To Open the Collectors Edition, you will immediately see the first content. Packed in a classy black envelope decorated with Golden ornaments, you can find graphics, each of which is an enlargement in the history of World of Warcraft symbolize. These were partly inspired by the official Cover of the respective add-ons, or taken directly, and in part also show new sections of the respective content.

Then follows a small Onyxia-badges – this refers to a large purple dragon, the second RAID boss, which ever in the history of World of Warcraft was killed. He is, unfortunately, rather small, and only about 2-3cm in size, of the presentation, but very sweet to have succeeded. Another Highlight is the World of Warcraft Mousepad. It shows the complete map of Azeroth, if you are in the game fully zoom out would – with all the previously added worlds and continents. The Mousepad feels good to be processed, and has the intense, beautiful colors.

Further included in the Edition is also a Code for 30 days of game time of World of Warcraft, as well as two digital Mounts. The Codes were not, however, really staged in the Edition, but carelessly, as a small strip of paper attached.

The Ragnaros Statue

The Highlight of the Edition was the last: the Statue of the fire Lord Ragnaros. Ragnaros was in the original World of Warcraft the very first RAID boss, and is, therefore, a large, nostalgic Highlight for the Fanbase. When I took the Statue for the first Time from the packaging, I was briefly confused very. This is not ready to work, but still want to be together. The fire wings, the big Hammer, as well as one of his hands, you had to attach himself to the Statue. This would be no Problem for me, would have specifically kept the fire wing but a little better on the rest of the Statue. In just the first five minutes, I had to plug in these three times, they flew again and again from the slot provided. Finally, I glued them, and would have liked but, nevertheless, a slightly better processing.

The Statue is built, however, once together, it looks really impressive. It is about 25cm high, and feels to the Touch very high quality. The Material itself is not on the packaging, unfortunately, can be seen. Purely by the feel I’d is a special Form of pleasant-coated plastic. According to Research, it is at least biologically degradable raw materials. The paint finish is very good, the Gold stands out from a distance. Only the head of the fire lords is in my eyes a bit too small – this one is even much smaller than the powerful Hand raised the elemental lords! Had Blizzard like a few inches longer awarded

CONCLUSION

Although the Ragnaros Statue is definitely a little air to the top would have been to create the World of Warcraft – 15th Anniversary collector’s Edition nevertheless, together with the rest of the content completely to convince. The drawings are beautifully managed, the presentation of the collector’s Edition itself is very high quality and ideal for the positioning of envious looks in the computer room. I’m insanely happy about that, nor is it a copy – to have and to Express all those to whom it has been unable to keep my fingers crossed that Blizzard might again, a second series of the Edition reproduced. As a longtime Fan of the Warcraft universe, this Edition is almost not in the own shelf missing!
