The Witcher becomes part of Monster Hunter: World

Capcom and CD PROJEKT RED announced their collaboration today – Geralt von Riva, the main character of the Witcher game series, gets a guest appearance in Monster Hunter: World. And that with his respective original voice, the typical fighting style and Witcher-inspired orders.

In this collaboration, players can play in Monster Hunter: World will take on the role of Geralt von Riva – a professional monster hunter equipped with superhuman strength and reflexes – and take on a number of Witcher-inspired tasks. The result is a unique gaming experience that combines the RPG mechanics of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with the gameplay of Monster Hunter: World combined. Geralt is a true master of swordplay and one of the deadliest warriors in the world of The Witcher. Owner and player of Monster Hunter: World can take advantage of its distinctive fighting style by seamlessly combining swordplay, combat magic, and a variety of monster hunting gear.

The speaker role of the Hexer again Doug Cockle – the English voice of Geralt von Riva. The speakers who brought the White Wolf to life in the German, French, Italian, Spanish and Japanese versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt also return.

The Witcher-inspired content is expected to be released in early 2019 as a free update for Monster Hunter: World on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the PC update will then also follow promptly. Further details on the cooperation will be announced at a later date.
