Newsflash: Cloudfare Ethereum, Litecoin, Stuttgart Stock Exchange Cryptolisting

Despite the sharp fall in exchange rates, the industry in the area of blockchain technology continues to develop strongly and the spread of digital currencies is increasing in practice. The head of the cryptography department of the US start-up Cloudfare, has announced on Twitter that it would like to talk to some of the developers of the Ethereum network in order to promote a potential collaboration.

Dear Ethereum researchers, Cloudflare is very interested in working with you on how to bridge the gap between the traditional and decentralized internet. Here’s a blog post about some of our work from earlier this year: https://t.co/Nm9rvjuKhJ

The common goal could be to make the Internet more decentralised and to give back to users the real sovereignty over their user data. This vision is also pursued by the very young TRON project, which aims at a decentralised Internet 4.0. Cloudfare offers services for small to large web projects in order to optimise their security and speed.

Lightning Wallet Zap adds Litecoin

The Lightning Wallet provider Zap only supported Bitcoin so far. A few days ago, however, it announced that the integration of Litecoin had been successfully completed.

The use of the Lightning-Network makes it possible to process payments faster and cheaper. A payment channel is opened outside the main chain, which receives the transaction and does not charge the block chain. This means that resources can be effectively conserved and used elsewhere. The number of nodes within the Lightning network has grown strongly this year. The goal is that Litecoin owners can use their wallet easily and securely without complications (freely translated):

Zap now supports connection to remote Litecoin Lightning nodes. While the Lightning network was designed with Bitcoin’s scaling in mind and some privacy improvements were made, it is a protocol that is agnostic to the underlying block chain. The Litecoin development team is currently working on the implementation of Neutrino (Light Client) support in LTCD, so that users can one day start their wallet in the Bitcoin block chain, log out and then switch to Litecoin.

BISON App will be launched at the end of January 2019

The BISON App is developed by the Stuttgart Stock Exchange and is expected to be available in the German App Stores by the end of January 2019. Initially, 4 digital currencies will be listed: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecin and XRP.

Yes we start with #BTC, #ETH, #LTC and #XRP ? Further crypto currencies will then be added step by step.

– BISON App (@bisonapp) December 14, 2018

The BISON App is Germany’s first app for the crypto trade and should become as prominent as Robinhood or Coinbase. The number of mobile users is increasing in the age of digitalization, so that this step is only a logical consequence of the advancing developments.
