Movie review: Maleficent: Mäche of darkness
It is time, in the magical Moore return to: the dark Fairy Maleficent is back. As mentioned in the first part, Angelina Jolie once again delivers a terrific performance, and gives your character the strength of dark Fairy, a lot of Charisma and character. Because even though Maleficent in the actual fairy tale the villain is, you can Jolie’s character in the Film only love and forgive you even every evil deed. In Maleficent: powers of darkness, receives Jolie, but a lot less Screentime than in the first adventure. This puts Princess Aurora, played by Elle Fanning, and more in the center. The is a talented actress, not Jolie, but far more the water. As a result, the continuation of weakens very.
Angelina Jolie received this time in Michelle Pfeiffer a worthy opponent. Pfeiffer takes on the role of Prince Philips scheming mother-in-law Ingrith, and playing, from the first appearance in the Film, a dark Aura radiating. The camera always plays rays with the sun, and the light is thus involved, almost picturesque in the scene. It is a captured sunset, or candlelight, which is reflected in the face of the villain in Ingrith – visually the Film is impeccable.
Positive is also the renewed allusions to the fairy tale “sleeping beauty, I noticed”. The fact that the story was told in the first part, Yes, actually, already to the end, I did not expect to get re-references the fairy tales in the Film. As Princess Aurora, for example, has still the wound of the cursed spindle on her Finger. This reminds you, for example, Prince Philips family was not immediately trust. The allusions used during the entire term again and again, discreetly, and bring a certain fairy-tale atmosphere. This is really a success very much!
But it was the beautiful music, and spectacular landscapes. None of this can be the greatest weak point of Maleficent: powers of darkness successfully hide the the Film’s underlying story.
