Far Cry New Dawn announced

Ubisoft announced the latest installment of the award-winning Far Cry series at The Game Awards. Far Cry New Dawn takes players into a post-apocalyptic world.

Seventeen years after a global nuclear catastrophe Far Cry New Dawn leads the players into a wild and beautiful, but also radically changed Hope County, Montana. Life has gradually emerged from chaos, but the survivors now face a new threat – the merciless Highwaymen and their leaders: The twins, Mickey and Lou. The twin sisters and their group of looters who grew up in the lawless borderlands live only in the here and now and have come to Hope County to claim all available resources. To repel this devastating threat, players must help survivors become stronger, create a temporary arsenal of weapons, and form unexpected alliances to fight for survival in a dangerous battle.

In the base, players prepare to face the threat in the form of Highwaymen. The base, called Prosperity, is the fortress of the survivors. Here players can make temporary weapons and vehicles and train their helpers and quadrupeds – including new and familiar faces. As players progress, they can expand the base for more powerful weapons and equipment. The basis is also the starting point for expeditions, because for the first time in the history of Far Cry the plot does not take place in one place only. Exciting expeditions lead players to unique and memorable locations in the USA, including wetlands, canyons and more, where they must gather valuable resources and quickly escape.

Developed by Ubisoft Montreal with support from Ubisoft Shanghai, Ubisoft Kiev and Ubisoft Bucharest, Far Cry New Dawn is a first-person shooter in a completely open world. The independent sequel to Far Cry® 5, Far Cry New Dawn, transports players into a post-apocalyptic world where they will face a double threat – the twins Mickey and Lou. Players have a wide selection of helpers and four-legged friends as companions, but can also recruit a friend for co-op games to experience unforgettable Far Cry moments where anything can happen.

Far Cry New Dawn will be released on February 15, 2019 and will take players into a post-apocalyptic world. The game appears for PlayStation 4, the Xbox One device family including Xbox One X and PC and can be pre-ordered now.
