DHL Asia and VeChain collaborate to research solutions for logistics industry

VeChain and DHL Asia are working together in logistics research to drive joint solutions for further optimization of internal processes at the DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center.

VeChain is one of the few projects in cryptospace that already has a working product. VeChain has specialized in using blockchain technology to increase retail transparency for the end consumer. Products, e.g. in the wine, clothing or pharmaceutical industries, are provided with an RFID chip.

Then various information can be stored on it and viewed on the blockchain in real time. When a good wine is sold in a supermarket, the use of a barcode scanner makes it possible to see where the wine comes from, which grape variety it contains and much more.

Sarah Nabba, VeChain’s Country Manager in Singapore, says DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center is working with VeChain.

The Innovation Centre “develops groundbreaking logistics solutions and promotes collaborative innovation in the region” and works on the “development of future logistics and supply chain solutions using self-propelled vehicles, robotics, the Internet of Things and Augmented Reality”.

DHL is a partner in VeChain’s long list of already existing cooperations. Further companies that are researching in cooperation with VeChain which advantages the Blockchain offers for their own company are PWC, Kühne + Nagel or Esprezzo.

We are curious to see what further developments we can see in this area. The price of VecChain has recorded a minimal plus of 0.55 percent to a price of 0.01 euros within the last 24 hours.
