Background software vs. Bloatware

Stephen bird, Head of Business Development:

We all have this folder on our Smartphones and computers that contains the “Apps I use”. The stock App, the To-Do-list App, voice recorder, three different Video editors… The maximum memory and computing power of our devices is not pre-installed Bloatware is limited, we use, you don’t need and often don’t even realize that it is on our devices. But this is changing.

Lately software have begun to take measures to minimize the unnecessary clutter on our devices. Apple allows its users to delete certain built-in applications, starting with iOS 12, and Microsoft plans to remove next year to some of the Bloatware from Windows. Tech companies have understood that users can find in search of a Top-To-Do-List App, or constant stock market Updates in the App Store a better solution. No one wants the pre-installed, semi-finished solutions bring your equipment to a standstill.

Experienced users have already uninstalled everything except the Key manually and your devices to the applications you actually use. The setting of the consumer from “I want a device that can do everything,” to “My device everything…. but I just need to get moved, these functions“. Since the devices are always tailored more to the needs of the user, it would be useful if our pesky little Bloatware-would disappear folder. But a new kind of App could take your place.

“Out of sight, out of mind” Apps could occupy a similar space on their devices, but to slow down instead of your device, and space to waste, save this Apps money and screen time. Through the use of KI, you can manage the Services, such as Home Utility Management and Smart Home Connectivity.

These Apps do not require user interaction and optimize the cost as well as resource efficiency for the user. For everyday concerns such as energy consumption, health and financial inter-actions AI will be used to make decisions. Users must, therefore, spend less time in front of the screen, what is in the digital age, is particularly valuable. The Apps will give the users Feedback when a Problem occurs or if the user just want to know more about the automated processes.

The Berlin-based Blockchain-energy Start-Up Lition has such an “out of sight, out of mind”App designed to simplify energy trading for users. KI makes it possible to buy without user interaction, automatically energy and sell. While the energy portal is located on the devices of the user, the App will receive all of the required inputs on the smart reader of the company. This is an IoT device that analyzes the energy consumption in real time and the data found on the App send. Users can optimize, as a result, their energy efficiency, without lifting a Finger. So if you combine saving money and the environment.

If a user wants to access the data, he can simply open the Portal in the Lition with an intuitive and user-friendly interface has been developed, which displays all the relevant information and trading options. The Lition Team, recently spoke with Forbes about the future of Software design, stressing the importance of modernized user interfaces, as well as the elimination of Bloatware and minimizing the screen time.

Even if the Bloatware-Era gets to the end, this is not the end of the unopened Apps on our devices. AI and automated Services will show a similar folder, only this time, the folder will save both time and money.
